I wanted to complete the series of fan arts for Frieren. This time I went for an Übel Fan Art with a spicy pose.

With the style established, to some extent, I decided to start experimenting with color. I wanted something very unique for Norz, that didn’t fall into the usual anime style of line, color, shadows and lights.

Some sketches I made during the month of May 2025. During that month I really took the time to explore my new minimalist style.

Part of the process I explore to get to my current style, was multiple study figures. In the studies, I started with what faithful sketch would look like, and then I proceeded to make small abstractions to the form, so it would resemble a more anime style.

This is the first sketch I made in my new style. I like the minimal use of lines so much, that I decided to keep exploring shapes in this manner. I consider this artwork, the first step into what I offer now as an artist.
