With the style established, to some extent, I decided to start experimenting with color. I wanted something very unique for Norz, that didn’t fall into the usual anime style of line, color, shadows and lights.
Always chasing minimalism, I decided to stick to the line art as final, and add simple colors to give it some life, without overdoing them.
This is the result of the First Color Test. We have a semi-gothic style chick here, with simple line art and simple colors.
I believe, I will never stop trying to improve the style. Time will show any improvements I get to make with each new piece I complete.
I hope you like it and, if possible, it inspires you to chase your own art style. Even in saturated art markets, such as the anime style one, creativity lets us find our own voices and colors, so I encourage you to embrace creativity, do not chase the style of others, find your own line.
